At Equifax, the Summer 2025 12-week Global Security Internship Program is a gateway to full-time career paths for current university students. The program not only presents meaningful projects with direct impact on our business, but also provides exposure to senior leaders and opportunities to network.

The 12 week internship program runs from May 19th, 2025 to August 8th, 2025.

This position requires that you adhere to a hybrid schedule. Equifax's return to office (RTO) policy includes weekly onsite expectations each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Monday and Friday are remote work days.

Must be local to Atlanta and have the ability to commute to our offices in Alpharetta, GA and/or midtown ATL (OAC) depending on assignments.

We are only considering applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or equivalent field with a planned graduation date of May 2025.

What you’ll do :
-
Engage in incident response related tasks, network and general security tool monitoring, with support from more senior personnel.

Leverage foundational IT/CS knowledge to identify/respond to common attacks through common vectors and methods, with support from senior team members.

Broad OS familiarity (Win/Unix/Linux/BSD), to be used in system maintenance, configuration, and streamlining data feeds.

Solving basic analysis and analytical problems, programmatically, with little guidance
-
Actively attempt to enrich team value by sharing knowledge.

Work to complete access control requests from application and support teams.
-
Troubleshoot access control issues for application, support and system teams.
-
Work with and assist Audit Teams with control testing.
-
Perform in and assist with yearly Disaster Recovery testing.
What experience you need:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or equivalent field.

Upcoming graduation date must be May 2026

Must be local to Atlanta, GA

Strong technical acumen and analytical skills
What could set you apart:

Priority given to those pursuing security, mathematics, and/or theoretical computer science related degrees

Priority given to those who have any security related project experience, internships, certifications and/or various security tool experience

Exposure to cloud technologies (Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Azure)

Exposure to program languages such as Python, Django, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, Java, C#, Go, Perl (GitHub)
-
Experience managing daily project goals and schedules, adjusting expectations and setting priorities (academically or professionally)

Strong analytical, structured problem solving, and decision making abilities.

Ability to work on a team and independently as needed.

Ability to adapt to quickly changing project requirements and feedback.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
