Senior Director, Sales Enablement

This role supports our efforts to design, build, and run a world-class sales enablement organization.  The Sales Enablement Leader will focus on managing the development and delivery of sales enablement programs and continuous improvement projects for our USIS Business Unit.  The focus of this role is to assist our teammates in various Channels and LOBs to gain knowledge, execute critical processes, sharpen skills, utilize marketing messaging, leverage tools & techniques, and ultimately become more efficient in advancing customers through the buying journey and executing the sales process.

What you'll do:

  • Directly support sales leadership and sales managers in talent development needs of their teams.  Oversee the prioritization of training objectives/efforts for sales, sales management, and sales support roles.  Lead Steering Committees and overall governance process.

  • Drive the development and rollout of on-boarding, sales training, coaching and other professional development programs to accelerate business performance.  Reinforce sales process and best practices.

  • Partner with Product Marketing to sharpen product knowledge in support of consultative sales strategy.  Deploy & reinforce sales readiness activities for new & existing products.

  • Partner with the broader Sales Ops and Enablement team to ensure key processes and workflows are supported by existing & emerging technology, and that we are providing a streamlined seller experience.

  • Measure and manage required investment ensuring effective ROI, as well as appropriate spend per metrics. Develop & curate effective performance benchmarks. Regularly assess and ensure ongoing alignment based on metrics.

  • Drive the adoption of EFX tools, processes and ways of working. Evaluate current learning tools (SFDC, Brainshark, Workday, etc.) and make recommendations based on current and future needs.  Deliver programs through a variety of mediums, including instructor-led training, digital training, and a wide array of reinforcement strategies.

  • Manage vendor relationships including contract negotiations, pricing, and renewals.  Ensure vendor solutions align to sales and operational strategies.

  • Stay connected to the competitive landscape, including trends & Best Practices in Sales training, development and learning as an engagement and retention tool.

  • Mentor, motivate, and develop staff and serve as a resource to them in order to facilitate their professional development.

  • Assist with program / curriculum development for Annual USIS Sales Kickoff meeting.

What experience you’ll need  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 8 years working in sales, sales enablement, sales leadership, marketing, or similar.  

  • Minimum of 5 years experience working on a sales team within a large, complex, multi-channel corporate environment 

  • Demonstrated knowledge  and understanding of formal sales methodology concepts, go-to-market strategies and talent development programs offered by third parties

  • Strong track record of engaging Executive Sponsors and delivering Executive level presentations

  • Proven ability to leverage contemporary and innovative sales tools and learning technologies

  • Experience creating train the trainer programs, and facilitating professional adult learning experiences

What could set you apart

  • Experience with video production and voice over work to maximize our digital delivery capabilities

  • Certifications in or advanced technical knowledge of sales tools such as Salesforce, Gainsight, Demand Base, Linkedin, and/or Brainshark

  • Master’s or advanced degree

  • Experience working in the Financial Services, Telecom Industries and/or SaaS Companies
