As Platform Engineer (VDI) you will have the challenge of implementing, and supporting appropriate virtual desktop solutions for Equifax using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop (v1912 and later preferred) and Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops. Independently lead problem determination in multiple technology domains, engaging with business units, application teams, and other infrastructure teams as required. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and consultative guidance to other teams and business units as appropriate.

 

What you’ll do

  • Engineer, implement, and support appropriate virtual desktop solutions for Equifax using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop (v1912 and later preferred) and Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops.

  • Independently lead problem determination in multiple technology domains, engaging with business units, application teams, and other infrastructure teams as required.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members and consultative guidance to other teams and business units as appropriate. 

  • You will manage any incidents or vulnerabilities fixes and work required to implement changes off hours (when necessary)

What experience you need 

  • 5 years of experience in progressive roles from Administrator to Engineer

  • 3 years of experience providing Tier 3 escalation support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products

  • 3 years of experience relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies , to include: Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 1912 and later, Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS), Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX, Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM), Citrix App Layering, Ivanti Application Control, Ivanti Environment Manager.

  • 3 years of experience relative to administration, engineering, design, and implementation of Microsoft technologies , to include Windows Server, versions 2012R2 and 2016; version 2019, Windows 10, Hyper-V, including failover clustering, System Center Virtual Machine Manager, Active Directory, Group Policies.

  • English proficiency B2 or above

What could set you apart

  • Experience with public cloud-related technologies a plus, to include: Google Cloud Platform, Citrix Cloud, “Infrastructure as code” technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, Familiarity with immutable infrastructure concepts.

  • Adept skills with vDisk management, application packaging, and Powershell scripting.

  • Extensive application debugging experience utilizing Citrix tools, Microsoft System Internals Tools, Wireshark or other packet capturing tools, and ControlUp.

  • Advanced analytical/problem solving ability, critical decision making, intuitive, un-yielding focus as workload rises, focus increases, multi-task becomes second nature often playing mediator or calming the storm by focusing everyone on a common goal required, mediator on calls if necessary, creative, independent thinking skills.
