Equifax's USIS Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our growing Mortgage Business Unit. You will be responsible for managing and growing the Equifax Mortgage Product Portfolio.
The Senior Product Manager will drive the business forward by developing a deep understanding of customers' needs and effectively addressing them through full cycle product management. The Senior Product Manager must maintain close communication with stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle to ensure that expectations are set appropriately, and projects/products are delivered on time and meet outlined objectives.
This role is positioned to contribute directly to not only own product delivery, but also assumes a level of ownership for the product specification and the internal/external customer experience. This person should understand business processes and ensure integration between business and technology. Ideal candidates must be strong communicators, quick learners, skilled problem solvers and detail oriented.
What You’ll Do

Help lead and manage our mortgage products into the future. Key alignment of products to the FHFA announcements around adding new scores and optional 2 bureau credit files

Analyze and drive overall market understanding related to customer needs and industry research. Evaluate competitive landscape and utilize understanding of the competitors to identify and articulate high-potential opportunities

Conduct market validation through review and testing of concepts with existing and prospective customers (VOC, customer advisory). And assess opportunities for and own development of strategic partnerships

Define elements required to meet market needs and determine buy, build and partner approach. And provide descriptions and requirement definition for product development

Understand the product trade-offs, drive alignment and communicate the product vision. Prepare for and support product release, consult with product marketing

Monitor product adoption and use, and collect customer feedback. Track, monitor and ensure effective performance of the product including attainment of revenue and margin objectives. Manage product offerings to ensure new capabilities meet customer/market needs.

Collect, analyze and interpret data to reach conclusions and/or present insights and findings to drive product lifecycle management decisions including enhancements and sunsetting
What experience you need
-
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
-
10 years of direct product management experience
-
5+ years of Mortgage experience with knowledge of GSEs, FHFA, Scores and Mortgage Industry

Developed business cases and defined product roadmaps, including planning sessions across Product Delivery Value Streams

Solid understanding of customers’ perspectives to advocate for customer needs and gain commitment for the resources needed to meet those needs.

Technical knowledge of products to ensure customer needs are met across the product lifecycle including: Development, Delivery channels, Customer implementations, Customer support, Product enhancements

Understands market segments as well as market data trends relative to the products to drive product performance and competitive differentiation. Understands and tracks critical product data: Customer usage and satisfaction, Product operational metrics, Competitive standing relative to other alternative solutions

Ability to explain complex or sensitive information and work to build support and agreement

Work with others to achieve results and proactively address sources of conflict and emotion with focus on the best solution for Equifax.
