Equifax is seeking creative, high-energy, diverse and driven software engineers with hands-on development skills to work on a variety of meaningful projects. What you will do

  • Accountable for Tribe's operations, performance, and people, along with financial and budgetary responsibility.

  • Technical owner for all Tribe’s applications and platforms.

  • Engage in and improve the software delivery  lifecycle – from inception and design, through development, deployment, operation, and refinement.

  • Measure tribe performance across people, process and technology and continuously and demonstrably improve.

  • Build and maintain global technology and partner relationships to ensure success of the tribe.

  • Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams. Play a pivotal role in the execution of cloud native, distributed micro service based architectures

  • Manage teams with cross functional skills that include software, quality, reliability engineers, project managers and scrum masters. Mentor, coach and develop junior and senior software, quality and reliability engineers. Collaborate with the architects, SRE leads and other technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices

  • Ensure compliance with EFX secure software development guidelines and best practices and responsible for meeting and maintaining QE, DevSec, and FinOps KPIs.

  • Define, maintain and report SLA, SLO, SLIs meeting EFX engineering standards in partnership with the product, engineering and architecture teams

  • Drive technical documentation including support, end user documentation and run books. Support the teams with planning, retrospectives, and other agile ceremonies.

  • Implement architecture decision making associated with Product features/stories, refactoring work, and EOSL decisions

  • Create and deliver technical presentations to internal and external technical and non-technical stakeholders communicating with clarity and precision, and present complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate

  • Provides coaching, leadership and talent development; ensures teams functions as a high-performing team; able to identify performance gaps and opportunities for upskilling and transition when necessary. Drives culture of accountability through     actions and stakeholder engagement and expectation management

  • Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap within, and often beyond, the scope of your teams. Oversee systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and review product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems

  • Contribute to and participate in global collaboration for continuous process improvement

  • Promote the adoption and adherence to internal SDLC, review processes, and engineering standards



What experience you need

  • Bachelor's degree or 12-18 years of software engineering experience

  • 5+ years experience managing an offshore development team

  • Worked with SREs and dev teams to define and maintain SLA, SLO, SLIs meeting EFX quality engineering standards

  • Collaborated with the architects, SRE leads and other technical leadership on strategic technical direction, guidelines, and best practices. Collaborated with Product with a product mindset

  • Drove technical documentation including support, end user documentation and runbooks. Led Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospectives, and other team activity

  • Managed multiple development squads at a supervisory capacity assuming all HR responsibilities, including hiring & interviews, retention, training, and team capacity planning

  • Implemented architecture decision making associated with Product features/stories, refactoring work, EOSL decisions, and continuous improvements whilst ensuring EHB guidelines

  • Created and delivered technical presentations to internal and external technical and non-technical stakeholders communicating with clarity and precision, and present complex information in a concise format that is audience appropriate

  • Experience of building and managing strong technical teams that deliver complex software solutions that scale

  • Deep troubleshooting skills with the ability to lead and solve production and customer issues under pressure

  • Strong experience of full stack software development and public cloud like GCP and AWS is preferred

Has good understanding of the overall roadmap value creation of the business domain and  subject matter expert for the services and/or capabilities within the role and responsibilities. Influences the decision making process that sets the direction of the software product roadmap with sponsors, users and developers.

  • Engineering Requirement Analysis - Leads, influences and owns working with the sponsors and users to drive clarity in requirement gathering. Ensure software contracts are clearly articulated for service level objectives for a set of services/capabilities within the role and responsibilities.

  • Agile Engineering Best Practices - Leads delivering software that is flexible and incremental to meet business goals. Accountable for the delivery of the technology roadmap commitments. Leads requirements and effectively anticipates dependencies and sequencing of tasks

  • Idea Creation - Supports creative value ideas and influences with narrative first concept while driving software capabilities innovation with enterprise innovation forums

  • Industry Knowledge - Leads and leverages knowledge of industry trends around software engineering design patterns and strategies to implement feasibility proof of value within the roles and responsibilities of the software ecosystem. Assess technology trends, use knowledge and make recommendations on improving upon the defined expectations of systems availability.

  • Systems Thinking - Ensures knowledge of best practices and how systems integrate with others to improve their own work and the work of less experienced colleagues.

  • Self-motivated driver able to make progress despite obstacles and to solve problems

  • Strong time management skills and sense of timeliness in meeting commitments

  • Exceptional facilitative skills, must be able to lead and demonstrate value add principles with transparency (e.g. desire to bring disclosure and grow trust)

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both oral and written

  • Valid Cloud Certification
