Equifax is looking for a Tradeshow & Events Manager to join our Marketing team. This role will be responsible for strategizing, executing and handling post analysis for our 65+ tradeshows and events throughout the United States. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, influential, and polished with a strong focus on driving results while delivering engaging experiences. This person must be comfortable working within a highly-matrixed environment with key internal and external stakeholders. This role follows a hybrid framework requiring in-office presence and the ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
What you’ll do

Support USIS tradeshow and event management function (this is Player position)

Help manage all trade show/event supplier relationships to deliver programs, services and support resources to meet and exceed expectations and deliver a memorable experience

Help negotiate all supplier/hotel/venue contracts, scope and manage budgets and purchase order process with our marketing operations team

Work extremely closely with the Industry and Partner marketers to provide best practices, templates, etc. they can use with their sales counterparts to communicate effectively

Coordinate the planning and logistics of trade show/events

Align resources to support all events including communications, speakers, AV equipment and staging, registration, hotel arrangements, giveaways and gifts, etc.

Help manage and execute the following:

Provide regular updates to keep all stakeholders abreast of upcoming events and deadlines

Coordinate the logistics of the exhibit property including maintenance of the trade show exhibit, demonstration equipment and all accessories

Work with Industry/Partner marketer on a post-show analysis, including metrics.

Recognize opportunities to sponsor conference sessions that align with marketing goals

What experience you need
-
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-
Minimum of 7 years experience managing large and small scale events and tradeshows
-
Multiple years experience managing events and meetings with budgets no less than $250k
-
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets

CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification

CTSM (Certified Trade Show Marketer) ideally within a large global organization

Experience working with demanding key stakeholders

Experience negotiating complex vendor contracts (hotel, event vendors, speaking agents, etc.)

Excellent client relations & customer service skills

Understand production requirements and timelines of trade show production

Ability to act quickly and decisively with solutions to unexpected issues

Effective communication skills (written and verbal) both internally and externally

Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team

Verified project management skills; ability to plan, manage and complete projects

Strong time management and ability to handle multiple demands and sets priorities
