Site Reliability Engineer

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) at Equifax is a discipline that combines software and systems engineering for building and running large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems. SRE ensures that internal and external services meet or exceed reliability and performance expectations while adhering to Equifax engineering principles.

What you’ll do

  • Experience in developing and/or administering resources in Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud SQL, PubSub, IAM, GCE, GCS, etc)

  • Experience in the DevOps/SRE space including solid understanding of Linux and network administration, Infrastructure as Code experience withTerraform, and CI/CD (Jenkins)

  • Experience in containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes (GKE), Helm, and microservices

  • Experience in observability solutions including the Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana stack, etc. to monitor infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.

  • Experience with Enterprise security best practices, implementation, and remediation

  • Experience in monitoring infrastructure and application uptime and availability to ensure functional and performance objectives.

  • Experience managing Infrastructure as code via tools such as Terraform/Jenkins/Github

  • Experience in patching Linux/Windows servers.

  • Experience in shell scripting

  • Experience in basic understanding of databases like DB2,Cloud SQL

What experience you need

  • BS degree or equivalent job experience required

  • 2+years of experiences as an Site Reliability Engineer

  • Some cloud basic knowledge or equivalent experience

  • Experience in Big Panda

  • Active Cloud Certification
