Synopsis of the role
Responsible for handling accounts receivable processes for high volume accounts as assigned - may require interaction with key stakeholders on a consistent basis both internally and externally. Reconcile general ledger accounts as assigned for month end close. Present solutions to have the greatest impact on revenue and client satisfaction.
What you’ll do
- Exposure to accounting principles related to revenue recognition under US GAAP and IGAAP.
- Hands-on experience with managing and supervising the accounts receivable department and ensuring the invoices are timely raised and dispatched to clients.
- Exposure to accounting processes, client servicing, etc.
- Learning how to organize, multitask and manage time.
- Posting of journal entries related to accrual and deferral of revenue.
- Implement the best accounting practices around invoicing and collections.
- Exposure to the field of accounting and its various responsibilities.
- In charge of customer invoicing and intercompany chargebacks.
- In charge of maintaining a repository of client contracts.
- Ensuring that payments collected are accounted for in the accounting system on a day to day basis Manages the receivable team.
- To ensure that there are no aged unapplied/unidentified cash and liaise with banks and other stakeholders for relevant details for knockoff against the AR.
- Prepare a detailed tracker for deferred revenue and accrued revenue and monitor the aged balances.
- Oversee the processing and organizing of bills, records and invoices ensuring quality maintenance at every step.
- Ensure that all practices comply with the law (GST, TDS).
- Keep in touch with the industry’s best practices and keep updating.
- To ensure that any corrections on invoices as per customer/business requests are carried out as per set internal policies.
- Improvise on the reporting to facilitate support to business and auditors.
What experience you need
- 3-6 years of accounting experience in AR function.
- problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with employees, superiors and customers.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Well planned, organized with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and written English skills with the ability to interact with inter departments and stakeholders.

- Advanced computer skills (MS Office) with prior experience working with accounting software (like Oracle) is a must.
- Should be able to communicate well with multiple departments in solving cross departmental issues.
