We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WebSphere Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our WebSphere environments. The role involves working closely with development teams to deploy and troubleshoot applications, ensuring high availability and performance of our middleware infrastructure.

What You’ll Do

  • Install, configure, and maintain Websphere environments.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability. 

  • Collaborate with development teams to deploy and fine-tune applications on WebSphere. 

  • Perform regular security assessments and apply patches and updates as required. 

  • Document system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures. 

  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

  • Support code deployments & configuration changes to production and non-production systems, following established Change Management practices

  • Perform impact analysis and document root cause analysis finding in follow up to critical production incidents.

  • Support Incident Management practices, following established ticketing, escalation, and notification procedures

  • Assist with Ops Support coverage by participating in on-call rotation

  • Research and resolve technically tickets in line with service level commitments and processing deadlines

What experience you need

  • 5+ years working experience on WebSphere  – Installation, configuration, and administration.

  • Production support experience for critical systems (24*7 support model)

  • Experience with Linux/Unix/AIX (admin skills, unix commands, shell scripting, etc)

  • Experience in Security (Certs, Vulnerabilities, etc)

  • Active Cloud Certification

  • Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure, Software Development and Quality Assurance concepts and tools

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • In-depth knowledge and analytical skills in troubleshooting, problem determination, root cause analysis and rapid problem resolution

  • The ability to learn quickly and apply new knowledge effectively

  • Customer focused and highly cognizant of meeting service level agreements (SLAs)

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
