The Sr. Director, Internal Communications will play a key strategic role in our Corporate Communications team. This role will directly support key stakeholders and executive leaders across Equifax Centers of Excellence (COE), providing strategic internal communications counsel and developing/deploying communications to global internal audiences. The Sr. Director will also support Corporate Communications leadership in the development of Executive Communications, town halls, and other key high-profile deliverables.

In partnership with the Vice President of Internal and Executive Communications, this position will ensure that Internal Communications guidelines are followed across the enterprise, delivering a best-in-class and consistent experience for our employee audience.

What you'll do:  

  • Creates a wide range of internal communications - from ideation to execution - that are strategic, story-driven, creatively written and audience-centric. 

  • Executes content across channels, including: email, intranet, town halls, executive speeches and digital signage. Must be comfortable adjusting style and voice to match audience needs, executive tone and channel requirements. 

  • Manages crisis communications including best practices across the enterprise to ensure timeliness and consistency. 

  • Creates and actively manages a central content calendar and team project tracker.

  • Collects and analyzes data on Internal Communications deliverables; identifies opportunities to improve traffic, engagement, and other relevant metrics.

  • Help implement and continually improve key Internal Communications processes and supporting documentation such as style guides, playbooks and policies  

  • Supports  written communications with visual design when appropriate. Collaborates with the Brand and Creative Team to ensure all assets produced are aligned with the brand standards and current campaign messaging.

  • Adheres, and holds others to, rigorous review protocols for employee communications, including brand, legal, compliance, government relations and executive review as needed.

What experience you need:

  • 7-10 years of Internal Communications experience.

  • Proficiency and familiarity in GSuite applications including Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar

  • Experience in overseeing an internal Content Management System or Intranet  and creating site maps

  • Strong writing skills with the ability to match complex topics to audience profiles and adapt voice and tone to meet the needs of executive stakeholders.

  • Consistency and extreme attention to detail

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to balance multiple time-sensitive activities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of the legal guidelines governing internal communications for a public company.

  • Collaborative, team-oriented professional with the ability to work across a matrixed and geographically dispersed organization.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, executive presence and proven ability to gain stakeholder trust and buy-in at multiple levels

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
