Technical Product Manager

Equifax is seeking a Technical Product Manager to enable rapid delivery of class-leading applications that maximize cloud platform capabilities and emerging technologies within the Technology Excellence team at Workforce Solutions. You will collaborate with some of the best talents in the industry to create and implement innovative, high-quality solutions focused on our customers' needs.

By partnering with your peers across Equifax, you’ll guide Workforce Solutions’ AI strategy, working closely with business partners and engineering leaders. You will be responsible for balancing near-term deliverables and longer-term investment in emerging technology platforms. You will regularly assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, manage escalations, and make trade-offs, stabilizing product needs against constraints.

What you’ll do

• Drive product governance activities including project plans, weekly status reviews, cross-functional meetings, executive status reviews and performance metrics and communicate regularly with senior management on status, risks, trade-offs and change control

• Actively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

• Collect and evaluate operational, service, and performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement – including standard methodology research and presentation

• Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraint

• Partner with business to understand market opportunities, customer expectations and industry trends

• Facilitate Scrum meetings and ceremonies

• Ensure that the team is following Scrum best practices

• Work with the Product Owner to define and prioritize the product backlog

• Help the team to resolve conflicts and disagreements

• Remove impediments to the team's progress

• Facilitate ideation workshops activities

What experience you need  

• Bachelor's degree in Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent job experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development

• Experience in Scrum and Agile methodologies

What could set you apart

• Certified Scrum Master (SCM)

• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC)

• Experience with Aha and Confluence (Jira)

• Experience working with sensitive and/or regulated data (PII, PHI, Credit Card Information, FISMA, FedRAMP) and understanding of constraints and limitations of its usages

• Experience working in a matrix organization (Spotify model, etc.)

• Experience in compliance, HR/onboarding and/or legislation related development

• Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leaders without having a formal reporting relationship

• Comfortable presenting to an executive audience and commanding large, diverse cross-functional teams in a composed, poised and professional demeanor

• Ability to clearly communicate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences – listening and providing answers

• Keen attention to detail

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excels in strategic planning and problem-solving

• Ability to build good relationships coworkers

• Ability to quickly and accurately gather and assimilate information

• Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues, and solutions
