As the Senior Associate, SEC Reporting, you will verify financial information for external reporting, assist with SEC reporting, technical accounting matters, and assist with external audit.
What You'll Do:
· Assistance with SEC Reporting - Prepare financial statements and footnotes as necessary to assist the Senior Director of SEC Reporting with filing of period financial reports and earnings releases. This includes the XBRL process.
·Responsible for completing quarterly disclosure checklists and other quarterly procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP.
·Coordinate management representation letters and 10-Q/10-K sub-certification process
·Assist the Senior Director of SEC Reporting on technical accounting issues.
·Assist the Director of Accounting Policy and Internal Controls maintain current corporate accounting policies, draft new policies and assist with the adoption of new standards
·Assist the VP of External Reporting on projects as needed including accounting diligence procedures
·Custodian of internal control documentation
·Other project work as necessary - This is inclusive of system implementations and process improvements.
What Experience You Need:
· Certified Public Accountant preferred
· Bachelors or Masters in Accounting
· 4 to 6 years of related experience in accounting (Big 4 or large regional external audit experience preferred)
· Understanding of financial statement requirements and preparation (SEC required)
· Experience with revenue recognition accounting literature
· Ownership of work, multi-tasking and prioritization skillset a must
· Ability to manage multiple projects and financial responsibilities to meet goals and objectives
