Vice President, Data & Analytics, Identity and Fraud

The VP, Data & Analytics, Identity and Fraud, will be responsible for leading the overall data and analytics team focused on identity and fraud data strategy, customer analytics and insights, data engineering, data science, data architecture, and data management. This leader should be one who has a strong industry expertise and understands the total addressable market and the role that Data and Analytics (D&A) plays.  This leader is collaborative and values innovation that leads to tangible revenue growth in coordination with the technology and product teams.  This leader reports directly to the General Manager of the Identity and Fraud business unit and is a contributing member of the senior leadership team.

 

What you’ll do

 
  • Incumbent drives the data strategy and data management for Identify and Fraud and is responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of AI/ML models for the business.

  • Collaborates with Global D&A, technology and platform teams to ensure global roadmaps incorporate the requirements of the identify and fraud business vertical.

  • Leads a customer-facing data analytics team, who are aligned to different identity and fraud verticals.

  • Provides data and analytics subject matter expertise to accelerate solutions and sales in other markets with a customer facing approach. 

  • Accountable for Data Analytical identity and fraud strategy that the team develops, executes and then is held accountable to for each of the respective verticals, while ensuring alignment with the dependent teams such as product, technology and sales.

  • Anticipates key customer business needs to provide global leadership and strategy creation across Equifax regarding D&A capabilities and solutions for configurable insights, apps and analytics platforms for the identity and fraud verticals.

  • Leads the team to ensure each vertical addresses key business challenges and develops new solutions and innovations to maintain an industry leading position across insights and apps.

  • Creates a scalable approach and strategy to selling and delivering configurable insights across the Identify and Fraud Business Unit and Equifax.

  • Leads the team on pre-sales approach and presentation material for comprehensive solutions involving configurable insights, apps and analytical platforms in collaboration with the respective functions. 

  • Ensures each solution addresses acquisition, prospecting, customer management and the feedback loop in the optimal way for each vertical.

  • Leads the team to ensure strong end to end project coverage, including pre-sales, pricing and contracts, solutions design, overseeing fulfillment, and customer satisfaction with the delivered solution.

  • Ensures the team has strong and effective interaction with the following teams:  Global D&A, Product, Technology and Sales. 

 

What experience you need:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of computer science, data science, applied mathematics or other related degrees (advanced degree preferred)

  •  Minimum 10 years of experience in managing data analytical teams and in support of a business unit and revenue generating organizations, addressing sizeable markets, i.e., $500+ million in annual revenues

  • Minimum 7 years in developing and using rich and diverse data sets to build models tied to SaaS industries

  • Experience in data science including data rights and governance preferred.

  • Understanding of how consumer data is used across the payments lifecycle and marketplace value chain, while in balance with regulatory considerations; ability to monetize that knowledge through sale of products/services that address customer pain points and business needs

  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to design algorithms, which may include data cleaning, data mining, data clustering and pattern recognition methodologies

  • Strong skills in statistical analyses with abilities in advanced data management and statistical programming using commercial products, such as SAS, as well as open source R and Python

  • Expertise in identity and fraud detection, risk modeling, causal analysis, and pattern recognition

  • Knowledge of Natural Language Processing, Machine learning, Conceptual modeling, Statistical analysis, Predictive modeling, Hypothesis testing
