What you’ll do 

As a Segment Leader you will possess a combination of domain/segment knowledge, leadership and engineering skills, as well as commercial acumen to drive revenue and growth for the company. You will be responsible for developing and executing technology segment strategy aligned with overall business goals and objectives. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders within the business to ensure effective delivery of the technology solutions to customers will be critical to your success You will lead, manage, and coach a team of engineers and other technical staff to deliver quality technology products and services with a vision and strategy that crosses multiple product lines. Managing and prioritising technology investment to ensure optimal return on investment will be an integral part of this role.

As a Segment leader you will build a high performing team, developing capability to maximise team members potential. Supporting effective product implementation requires you and your team's ability to translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design. You will lead and inspire your team (including any relevant external resources) through great storytelling, being able to articulate the vision and benefits realized through the team’s achievements.

This senior position is accountable for creating commercially sound business cases and assisting with cost benefit analysis of solutions, technologies and future ideas. You will also prepare and manage IT Capex and Opex budget submissions, updates and re-forecasts as required and manage estimations and costs for initiatives. Wider relationships and accountabilities include managing relationships with the senior leadership team, Business Stakeholders, Global teams, Technical Delivery teams, Partner Organisations internally and externally - consumer groups and customers.

W hat experience you need? 

  • Min 10+yrs of experience in Technology, Banks or Financial Organisations with BS or MS degree in a STEM major or equivalent job experience.

  • Real passion for innovation with experience in Cloud platforms like GCP and AWS is mandatory.

  • Excellent communication skills, sharp analytical abilities and proven design skills with detailed knowledge of modern software development life cycles including CI/CD 

  • Strong experience in managing large teams, (150+ plus) and excellent people management skills would be highly regarded. 

  • Must be a people’s person with a commercial and coaching mindset. 

  • You are a self- starter and highly motivated, with proven experience of managing in a Technology matrix environment
