The Risk Business Partner (RBP) is a senior role responsible for providing expert challenge and oversight on the application of the Risk Management and Operational Resilience frameworks across the Equifax UK&I businesses. The role will sit within the Compliance, Risk and Data Privacy function.
This role will report to the Risk Director and there will be fantastic opportunities to progress, grow and develop in this role. This exciting opportunity has a broad remit and can be based in our Leeds, London or Nottingham office.
What you’ll do

Support the UK Chief Compliance & Risk Officer (CCRO) on all matters relating to compliance, regulatory, operational and enterprise risk.

Support business leaders in the embedding of a fit for purpose Operational Resilience framework; identifying, designing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities where identified.

Support the Risk Director in delivering the Operational Resilience annual self assessment report; including partnering with business leaders in identifying new important business services (IBS), vulnerabilities, impact tolerances, facilitation of scenario testing and enhanced business process mapping. Through ongoing monitoring and guidance, collaborate with IBS owners and managers to ensure vulnerabilities are identified and mitigated to confirm they are appropriately prioritised and progressing.

Facilitate updates to the annual company wind-down plan.

Develop, draft, implement, maintain and publish company-wide manuals, policies, plans & procedures for the consistent implementation of Risk Management and Operational Resilience, maintaining the process, toolkits, and systems.

Support the delivery of risk management fora and governance reporting; identifying, designing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities where identified.

Maintain the Policy Management framework; identifying, designing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities where identified.

Raise business awareness and understanding of Risk Management and Operational Resilience and the relevant tools and techniques.

In collaboration with the Risk Director and RBP, support risk owners and managers in identifying risks, controls and mitigation plans, through delivery of the annual Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) plan; partnering with assurance, change and incident managers to ensure risks and control gaps are identified and mitigated.

Work constructively with risk, compliance and privacy colleagues on all matters, including providing challenge and advice and maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory and industry rules.

Support client audit requests for information and onsite inspections.

Provide advice and guidance to the business as required.

Engage in regulatory interactions as required or as directed by the CCRO / Risk Director.

Support the Internal Audit and second line functions on all matters as determined by the CCRO.

Assist the Risk Director as required in ensuring adherence to the Risk Management Policy and supporting standards.
What experience you need
-
Recent experience in Operational Resilience, risk governance and reporting, policy management and/or RCSA preferred.

Understanding of the current regulatory environment, specifically the role of the FCA and awareness of FCA specific rules (such as PRIN, COND, CONC and SYSC).

Knowledge of risk management processes e.g. ISO 31000 or COSO ERM including risk identification and root cause analysis tools and techniques.

Knowledge of process management tools and techniques.

Strong oral and written communication skills including ability to present complex technical or regulatory matters in an accessible way to all levels of the organisation, to manage stakeholders expectations in delivery of desirable regulatory outcomes, and to provide challenge when necessary.

Strong collaborator and experience of working and building relationships with colleagues from Legal, Compliance, Privacy, Information Security, Finance, Data and HR to achieve the desired risk outcomes.

Competent problem solver. Adept at identifying issues and root causes, understanding the risks and impact, and using own initiative to then develop a set of solutions which are pragmatic and effective to address the problem.
What could set you apart

Regulated financial services experience within an operational control, compliance or audit environment.

Understanding of conduct, regulatory and operational risk, particularly with regards to product governance, strategy, policies and defining risk appetites.

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Possess or is interested in seeking a relevant risk management qualification e.g. IRM International Certificate in ERM.
