What you’ll do
The Senior Rating Analyst will provide credit analysis, financial viability and risk assessment services within the Ratings Services team. You will also be assisting in the review, edit, quality assurance and completion of detailed evidence-based reports across a range of industries. The Senior Ratings Analyst is also responsible for managing a team of direct reports, and acting as a technical lead for the broader analyst pool.


The Senior Analyst will complete industry benchmark ratings and opinion pieces, drive ad-hoc initiatives across the broader team and business ensuring high quality outcomes. You will also be accountable for analysing financial statements, ratios and key risk indicators to identify credit risk, and guide the analyst team for the same. You will draft a well compiled credit rating report
expressing Equifax’s opinion and provide technical leadership through detailed review of Analyst work.


What experience you need?
● Minimum 3-4 years of experience in credit analysis and ratings is must
● Must have ability to conduct Advanced financial analysis and industry risk analysis
● Expert report writing skills is important
● Team leadership, project management and/or coaching experience is desirable
● Strong communication skills and capability to lead client engagements
● Understanding of Australian corporate structure and industry dynamics is big plus
● Local Australian industry experience is highly desirable
● Previous experience in accounting firms/global background agencies/Big 4s (Audit) is preferred
● Good to have experience in editing and reviewing written work
● Qualification in CFA/CA is highly regarded
