The Data Steward will serve as the business unit’s subject matter expert for a particular domain within USIS’s broader data library. Candidates should be courageous, tenacious, creative, optimistic and curious, with an appetite for growth in business-minded leadership. This Atlanta (Georgia)-based role will report to the Data Stewardship Manager.

What you’ll do

  • Consolidate and modernize our data governance, measurement and visualization, monitoring and incident management, and metadata capabilities.

  • Champion a results-oriented culture by reducing data quality issues, increasing our speed to detect and remediate issues, and improve data quality overall.

  • Work with other thought leaders and subject matter experts to harness the power of the cloud and emerging AI / ML techniques to create an industry-leading program.

What experience you need

  • 7+ years of relevant experience working at financial institutions  or other data companies, possessing an in-depth knowledge of data structure, data handling and data management

  • 7+ years of experience and demonstrated proficiency with data handling and quality tools and big data ecosystems (e.g., SQL, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery)

  • 7+ years of experience with data and business insights analysis which identify and drive ongoing excellence in data quality practices

  • 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau)

  • 3+ years of analysis experience in credit risk, telecommunications, financial services, marketing, fraud or insurance
