VP - (Security Operations & Engineering)

The VP of Security Operations will be an effective communicator and influential thought leader with relevant leadership skills and experience leading multi-discipline security teams in the operation of high-impact global security platforms and services. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong program/project management skills as well as a solid understanding of risk/ controls for the enterprise. This individual will have the ability to address issues independently, even when working under pressure, with challenging deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong subject matter expertise and an ability to forge relationships with all levels of stakeholders within the organization. The position will have direct management responsibility of a team of leaders and their globally dispersed team members.  

What You’ll Do:  

  • Serve as a primary point of escalation for security operational and cloud IAM automation issues and be responsible for day-to-day activities of the operations team globally.

  • Manage the automation of public cloud deployed security components using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles.

  • Manage the DevOps resources working on Cloud IAM automation in GCP and AWS 

  • Be responsible for securing public cloud hosted applications and infrastructure services by enforcing Cloud IAM policies and procedures.  

  • Work with various Audit, Compliance and Assessment teams and programs to identify, assess and mitigate risks, evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of the enterprise standards, procedures, processes, and internal controls.

  • Partner with business owners, IT and security stakeholders, and technology groups. 

  • Define and own key metrics and key performance indicators for Security Operations.

  • Remain current on cloud security trends and industry best practices

  • Be responsible for people management of the Security Operations and Cloud IAM teams, providing performance reviews, continual feedback, coaching and career growth for direct reports.

  • Engage colleagues, provide security communications, awareness and education for a variety of audiences, which may range from senior executive leaders to individual contributors.

What experience you need:

  • 10+ years of infrastructure and application deployment automation experience (Terraform, Jenkins etc.)

  • Strong understanding of DevOps, Git, automation and CICD pipelines

  • Experience with Container technologies (Docker/ GKE Cluster)

  • Knowledge of IAM concepts and platforms; managing and enforcing Cloud IAM policies

  • Experience with scripting languages is a plus 

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to privacy and data protection, such as PCI DSS, GLBA, Basel II, EU Data Protection Directive, International Cross Border, and U.S. State Data Privacy Laws
