SRE is also an engineering approach to building and running production systems – we engineer solutions to operational problems. As SREs are responsible for overall system operation, we use a breadth of tools and approaches to solve a broad set of problems. Practices such as limiting time spent on operational work, proactive identification, and prevention of potential outages.
What you’ll do
-
You will influence and design the infrastructure, architecture, standards, and methods for large-scale systems.

Will support services before production through infrastructure design, software platform development, load testing, capacity planning, and release reviews
-
You will maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators such as availability, latency, and overall system health.

Automate system scalability and will continuously work to improve system resilience, performance, and efficiency.

You will practice sustainable incident response as part of an on-call rotation
What experience you need
-
3+ years of experience developing and/or administering software in Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud SQL, PubSub, IAM, GCE, GCS, etc).

3+ years of experience in the DevOps/SRE space including solid understanding of Linux and network administration, Infrastructure as Code experience withTerraform, and CI/CD (Jenkins).

3+ years of experience in containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes (GKE), Helm, and microservices.
-
3+ years of experience with Enterprise security best practices, implementation, and remediation.

Ability to code in Java or Python to create automation and tooling.
