Vice President, Digital Communications

The VP, Digital Communications will be responsible for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of public relations activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the fastest growing business unit within Equifax, Workforce Solutions. This individual will be an ambassador for the organization and will need to build relationships with the media. The goal is to continue to advance Equifax Workforce Solutions’ position with relevant audiences, as well as to drive broader awareness of the depth and breadth of our solutions and impact on businesses and society on whole.

The VP, Digital Communications will be responsible for partnering with corporate teams and individual lines of business within Workforce Solutions to build a varied and integrated communications plan, across all channels available. This role will also be responsible for managing the positioning, and development of our branded assets, including The Work Number and other solutions and products within the business unit.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement internal and external communications strategy for the business unit, working alongside our corporate and lines of business marketing leaders

  • Create a public relations strategy that allows us to tell our story, and advance our position with key audiences, including analysts, influencers and the broader media

  • Work alongside business unit leaders to develop and communicate the evolving vision and strategy of the business unit to its employees and customers

  • Serve as point of contact for all media inquiries for the business unit

  • Develop and implement brand positioning for our key brand assets, including The Work Number, and partner with corporate teams to align our brand strategy to tell our unique story within the context of Equifax

  • Create a framework for solution &  product naming that aligns with corporate brand standards and works across the lines of business

  • Partner with lines of business leaders on M&A integration from a communications, brand and business unit marketing perspective

  • Create playbooks for standard communications, brand and M&A activities

  • Develop a scorecard that allows for the measurement of the impact of our communications plan

  • Manage and develop the communications and brand team within the business unit

What experience you need   

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations or related field

  • 10+ years of corporate or business unit communications experience within a publicly traded company

  • 10+ years of experience planning, writing, editing, and producing communications assets including press releases, newsletters, media briefs and internal communications guides 

What could set you apart

  • MBA or post-secondary degree 

  • Ability to work within a matrixed organization, with the ability to execute through a mix of direct and indirect management responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to partner, collaborate and coach senior leaders on media and public relations activities

  • Ability to build, mentor and coach high performing, results-oriented teams

  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills with experience presenting to senior leaders, investors or other corporate decision makers

  • Creative problem solver, self-managed with a bias to action
