Senior Internal Auditor

Come and join us as a Senior Internal Auditor where you will lead on the delivery of internal audits across the entire Equifax business and our 4 offices. This role can be based in our Leeds or Nottingham office and most audits will be delivered remotely with minimal travel. 

We're looking for an experienced rounded auditor who has exposure to regulated environments and a good understanding of risk and compliance. You will lead audits to completion and delivery of your findings building strong internal relationships to ensure compliance and improvements. The role will cover scope of audits across all departments with a key focus on operations and technology. 

To be successful in the role you will act as a trusted business partner, advising departments and provide recommendations across the business on operational changes that will have a positive impact on business performance and success.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct risk based audits across the business in line with best practice methodology and Equifax procedures

  • Assess whether risks are mitigated across the business and that operations are aligned across the group

  • Identify potential solutions to identified gaps in the control environment, and recommending their consideration to management

  • Feedback findings of audits to management and discuss any concerns

  • Draft and deliver audit reports summarising your findings

  • Build strong relationships and open communication channels across the business with key stakeholders, always maintaining trust to help the business meet its operational goals

  • Carry out assurance activities to ensure the group’s business and strategic objectives are identified, reported and managed

  • Support audits of clients and suppliers to assess the risk to Equifax

What experience you need 

  • Strong Internal Auditor with experience of leading and taking ownership of audits from conception through to sign off and completion

  • Good audit experience within a regulated environment understanding compliance and risk

  • Strong communication skills, with experience in engaging a range of stakeholders at a variety of levels up to the executive tier

  • A relevant audit qualification (CMIIA, CIA, QIAL, PIIA, CISA, QICA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or, if a relevant qualification is not held, significant internal audit experience with the willingness to become qualified (company funded)
