What you’ll do

The Senior Data Analyst as part of the Data Quality & Linking team plays a key role in the day to day management of Equifax’s core data assets developed to support our product offerings to the market. Playing a key role in the teams Data Steward responsibilities they will work closely with product, sales, IT, analytics and data acquisition to drive data quality and coverage of each the data asset to be market leading.

The Senior Data Analyst will perform in-depth analysis to drive data quality improvements of their allocated data assets in alignment with the product team’s strategic recommendations.

What experience you need

  • Minimum 4 years of analytical experience in the finance/banking industry or similar

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to relate on all levels through the

  • organization

  • Demonstrates technical competence and business acumen

  • Experience with data visualization and data storytelling

  • Statistical skills (advanced statistics or analysis techniques)

  • Knowledge and in-depth understanding of relational database management systems

  • Strong numeracy skills

  • Demonstrated experience and competency using SQL and at least one of the following:

  • SAS, R, Python, Java, or similar.

Extra points for any of the following:

  • Geospatial experience (cadastral data, understanding of lat/long systems)

  • Experience with with data visualization software packages, e.g. Tableau

  • Experience with Comprehensive Credit Reporting

  • Experience with big data platforms (e.g. Hadoop) and/ or understanding of concepts of

  • big data analysis (e.g. MapReduce)

  • Understanding of Equifax or similar products
