Data Governance Senior Analyst

We have 2 new positions for Data Governance Senior Analysts to join our expanding data governance team. You will play a key part in the execution of our data governance framework, ensure regulatory obligation/ governance and uphold/embed our policies and standards. 

These new positions are an essential component of Equifax’s journey to deliver a renewed Chief Data Office as part of a business transformation that sits in parallel to our ambitious cloud migration programme.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the metadata we are holding and providing to clients,  suppliers, 3rd parties and business partners 

  • Provide internal representation on a number of BAU forums/activities providing Data Governance SME input to influence decisions

  • Manage & document Data Governance procedures and processes

  • Provide SME support to BAU queries and client audits

  • Manage IT relationships to ensure correct metadata is captured; that all naming standards and requirements are identified for the Transformation project and set up approval processes for BAU approvals within Collibra

  • Support CDO activities identifying future uses for Collibra

  • Produce requirements for eventual transition and migration of the Data inventory into Collibra and phased approach plan

  • Actively promote awareness of the Data Governance team and the Chief Data Office across the business.

  • Actively participate in driving the evolution of the Chief Data Office to support the transformed business

What experience you need 

  • Strong understanding and experience of GDPR regulations, practices and requirements 

  • Good demonstrable experience developing, planning and executing Data Management, and/or Data Governance improvement initiatives

  • Good experience of process design and documentation

  • Good experience working with data laws and regulations that impact Equifax

What could set you apart

  • Experience developing and delivering data monitoring and/or validation projects within the financial services industry

  • Working experience of Collibra

  • Strong presentation and persuasion skills - to clearly articulate problem statements and / or benefits of change

  • Experienced in the delivery of change as well as investigatory and exploratory 

  • Comfortable with negotiations internally and potentially externally, able to make key day to day decisions
