Equifax’s Data & Analytics team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer with extensive data background. D&A Presale & Business Insights team provides extensive pre-sales engagement support throughout the sales cycle by providing domain expertise of Equifax data and advanced analytics solution. Through our data analytics, customer insights, and proof of concept modeling, we demonstrate the analytics and insights finance institutes need to enhance their business. The team collaborated with the sales, analytical consultants, and senior management teams to clearly articulate the breadth and value Equifax solutions and capabilities.
What you’ll do

Conduct data wrangling and data analyses in a big data environment; Create business insights and KPI reporting using Equifax’s credit data and alternative data assets.

Working with D&A, IT and Google Cloud Migration team, automate data reporting and scoring processes on Google cloud

Collaborate with D&A Data Scientist and analytical consultants executing on compelling analytical projects that demonstrate the value of Equifax data assets and products.

Use Airflow to perform a variety of data aggregation, data quality and integrity checks.

Use Airflow for automating multiple jobs with dependencies, parallelizing jobs, monitoring run status, failures and troubleshooting, and more.
What experience you need
-
3+ years’ experience with data engineering in Financial Services or credit reporting companies

2+ years experience in Data Wrangling, Data Engineering or related roles in Big Data ecosystem and/or distributed computing along with extensive analytic programming and automation skills such as Hive, Python or SQL.

1+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud technologies, ideally Google Cloud Platform, in performing analysis using Google BigQuery, and other Google Cloud Platform technologies

Bachelor’s degree in a technical or quantitative field like information management, statistics, engineering, mathematics, operations research or related field.
What could set you apart
Experience in scheduling jobs on the cloud using Airflow or other equivalent tools.
Scripting experience with PySpark/JAVA/C++ or similar
Experience with BI tools like DataStudio, Spotfire or Tableau
Strong aptitude and proven ability to develop data-driven solutions to meet business objectives
Experience deriving insight from large amounts (terabytes) of diverse customer data using analytical and visual techniques.
