The Revenue Accountant is a key member of the Accounting Team who is responsible for revenue recognition for all lines of business within the company. The role will work closely with the finance team and IT to ensure that revenue is accurately recorded and forecasted in accordance with US GAAP.

What you’ll do

  •  Perform period close accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely application of revenue recognition and accounting guidance in accordance with US GAAP.

  • Prepare journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations to the G/L and analyze revenue trends.

  • Evaluate revenue share partner arrangements & rebate payments to customers.

  • Participate in the quarterly contract review process.

  • Partner with finance team members to update forecasts.

  • Primary point of contact for revenue related questions.

  • Develop relationships and coordinate with various internal stakeholders (Finance, billing, Sales and internal/external audit).

  • Work closely with the AR team to understand customer issues impacting revenues, bad debts and DSO.

What experience you need

  • 3+ years’ management accounting experience.

  • University degree in Accounting.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and large data handling skills. 

  • Experience with Oracle Financials or similar ERP system.

  • Experience working in a large intercompany environment.

What could set you apart

  • Experience with Tableau, Hyperion HFM.

  • 1+ years of experience in Revenue Recognition ASC 606 and U.S. Generally Accepted Principles.

  • Qualified accountant or Pursuing (CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

  • Experience working for a global Corporation.

  • Experience improving Accounting processes and procedures.

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

  •  Willing to work on weekends and extended hours occasionally if needed.
