Data and Analytics, the advanced analytical division of Equifax, offers state of the art solutions to current and emerging business challenges. Through our data analytics, customer insights, custom modeling, and consulting services, we deliver the analytics and insights companies need to stay ahead. Our Customer Analytics business is seeking an experienced Statistician to construct best in class analytical solutions for Equifax within the risk management, marketing and collections lifecycle of customer management.  This person will lead projects, design and execute solutions to solve business problems by leveraging Equifax’s new Cambrian analytics platform.  This role will incorporate both individual projects as well as leading other statisticians in analytics efforts.

This position will sit at our Alpharetta, Georgia office.

What you’ll do

  • Work with external/internal clients on the formulation of new analytical solutions

  • Work as a team member or a project lead on the formulation and development of new modeling solutions across credit risk, utility risk, collections and marketing areas

  • Utilize diverse data sources to craft solutions using various modeling techniques

  • Ensure quality deliverables, working under a project plan and design

  • Create detailed documentation outlining design and technical specifications of each solution

  • Work with Technology teams to ensure accurate implementation, including audit of code

  • Perform QA analysis on solutions developed by other statisticians

  • Perform feasibility analyses to demonstrate value of different hypotheses proposed by various parties throughout the organization

What experience you need 

  • Master’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other related discipline

  • 4 plus years of experience in the credit, collections, marketing,  and/or utility analytics arena

  • 4 plus years of experience building logistic and linear regression models is required

  • 4 plus years experience with SAS, SQL ideally within a UNIX or Hadoop environment

  • Experience working with large structured datasets is desirable

  • Ability to create new ideas for statistical solutions to address customers’ business issues

What could set you apart

  • Experience building solutions, knowledge of alternative methodologies is a plus

  • Experience with R, WPS and other statistical packages is a plus

  • Knowledge of optimization and design of experiments techniques a plus

  • Knowledge of demographic, credit bureau and alternative data is a plus

  • Experience in PMML is a plus
