Data Licensing Sales


Reporting to our Data Licensing Sales Leader, the Data Licensing Sales will be responsible for revenue generation of our data licensing business within existing and new accounts.  In this role, the sales lead will focus on generating opportunities, finding and connecting with new markets and overall the generation of revenue with our suite of data licensing products. This role requires the person to be proficient in sharing high-level product overviews as well as detailed data information at the business executive level or at the data scientist level for a prospective customer and adjusting depth and complexity as needed to facilitate the conversation.  This role also requires the ability to coordinate and lead various internal activities to take an opportunity from a lead through fulfillment once a deal has closed.



This is an outside sales role and therefore a remote opportunity. 35-50% travel in various locations across the United States is required, so we are flexible on location. Candidates must be open to travel with access to a home/remote worksite when not on the road.


What you’ll do

  • Lead generation and identification of new opportunities

  • Consulting/Selling with prospects and customers to qualify opportunities

  • Providing initial product overviews

  • Handling product/data level Q&A

  • Coordinating any testing efforts (internally and with the customer)

  • Securing appropriate internal approvals (data, legal, compliance, security, etc.)

  • Leading fulfillment activities through product delivery

  • Becoming an expert in the data and solutions that you represent

  • Supporting existing customers

  • Attending relevant conferences and seminars

  • Continual feedback to product management on possible improvements, new product ideas and customer requirements

  • Manage pipeline to reflect most updated and accurate information at all times

  • Drive Identity Data revenue growth to meet/exceed established targets


Additional Responsibilities

  • Translate the use cases and requirements of the customer into both understandable deliverables for the sales rep, and technical deliverables for supporting professional services

  • Educate the customer on the capabilities and limitations of the product and integration with their systems

  • Understand the business of the prospects to support discussions on typical questions, concerns and possible solutions

  • Provide insight on competitive solutions and differentiate between them

  • Offer guidance on best practices based on industry standards and existing customer base


What experience you need

  • 5+ years of experience in client facing solutions, direct sales and/or sales consulting for identity data, data licensing, fraud, authentication, and/or identity solutions

  • Bachelor’s degree required


What could set you apart

  • Experience selling or buying data and insights driven solutions highly preferred

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects at one time, across various stages and customer type

  • Must have the ability to work independently to coordinate all tasks internally and directly with customers/prospects 

  • Demonstrated success in selling across verticals (FI, Fraud, Auto, Insurance, Big Tech, etc.), customer types (large/established, small/start-up and everything in between) and channels (direct/indirect)
