Insights, An Equifax Company, is seeking to hire a Senior Director, Software Engineering to direct activities of software development teams focused on Victim Services (VINE), Compliance (NPLEx), Healthcare (ProviderSafe), and Federal Programs. This position oversees analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of these platforms designed using Agile methodologies and Software Quality Engineering. The position is responsible for guiding engineering decisions, defining team culture/workflow and ensuring a balance between best practices and rapid development. The Senior Director plays a key leadership role for the Insights team as these platforms generate and secure our highest value data. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel ensuring the efficient operation of each platform.

  • You know how to get things done. You know when to roll up your sleeves and get in the details, and when to spend some time managing and coaching a team of developers. You know how to hire, train, and develop engineers when necessary to grow your team. 

  • You are a self-starter, highly motivated, and have a real passion for actively learning and researching new methods of work and new technology

  • You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders

  • You will manage our Federal Programs that require a Secret but Unclassified (SBU) clearance. As such you will be required to pass a federal background check.

  What experience you need

  • 10+ years development and systems analysis experience in high technology business area, preferably a fast-paced SaaS environment  

  • 5+ years of leadership or management leading multi-person projects, providing strategic development and analysis

What could set you apart  

  • Comprehensive technology background with ‘full-stack’ experience and understanding 

  • A desire to be involved in product, business and operational decisions 

  • Experience with development in an Agile environment 

  • Experience identifying opportunities to use 3rd party tools to accelerate development – background with build vs. buy decision-making 

  • First-hand experience with large data assets and/or building data-oriented products  

  • Strong understanding of indexing large datasets for rapid searching within product 

  • Background with integrating ETL toolsets into product processes
