What you will do:

The role of Account Manager requires a high-energy and targeted approach, to create a solid pipeline of opportunities and a retention strategy across a pre-defined territory along with acquiring new business opportunities for Corporate Accounts. The role will work closely with the Head of Segment in this case HO Strategic Industries, to substantially increase the market awareness in Australia of Equifax offerings and in turn drive aggressive revenue growth. From this perspective, the role is both a product evangelist as well as a business development specialist and is a vital component in supporting Equifax’s goal of achieving a strong market position in various relevant markets with our Corporate customers.

The overarching purpose of the role is to develop a high level of market awareness of the Equifax value proposition across our target customer set and achieve the aggressive growth in new business targets for the key Equifax products / solutions, while ensuring base revenue is maintained at 100% or more. In addition you will be responsible for assessing/qualifying and developing potential sales opportunities into new markets, territories, verticals or regions, or within new divisions of existing client bases. You will easily be able to demonstrate the confidence and ability to promote and sell Equifax solutions and products, have the tenacity to pursue and close deals with long lead-times and the ability to articulate the complexity of Equifax offerings to both current and prospective clients.

What are we looking for?

  • 3+ years sales experience in the credit and financial services, professional services and/or technology sectors 

  • Proven ability to forecast accurately on a monthly and quarterly basis 

  • Demonstrated understanding of pipeline management 

  • Strong sales track record in a complex market with a proven track record of consistent achievement of sales targets

  • Solid track record in New Business Acquisition

  • Commercially astute – significant commercial business experience and knowledge; with a proven track record in selling B2B solutions to industrial customers

  • The ability to work effectively across organisational units and geographic locations

  • Personal presence and strong influencing skills

  • Experience in driving quantifiable ROI

  • Ability to lead projects across cross functional teams

 Extra points for any of the following:

  • Relevant work experience within Insurance, Collections, FinServices or FinTech (desirable)
