Sr. Director International Tax

The Senior Director of International Tax will ensure that the international aspects of the effective tax rate are calculated and analyzed timely, accurately, and comprehensively in accordance with US GAAP and analyze US GAAP accounting of the Company’s international operations.  Another aspect of this role is to assist the VP - International Tax with technical tax aspects and modeling of income tax planning and M&A transactions,  compute, manage, analyze the US GAAP tax accounting of the Company’s non US operations.  The third focus of this role is to manage and  review the international aspects of US income tax compliance, including withholding tax and FATCA compliance. 

What You'll Do

  • Calculate and analyze the foreign rate differential which includes analyzing international earnings, applying US technical international tax and tax accounting concepts, computing local income and withholding tax expense, calculating the US income tax implications of foreign earnings (GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credit, earnings and profits pool and tax pools, deferred tax balances) annually at multiple points in the year (quarterly, interim, year end, forecast, budget) and effectively analyze, prove and communicate drivers of effective tax rate impact.

  • Manage income tax accounting processes, calculations, and analyses associated with foreign earnings including review and analysis of international tax packages, international tax calculations (current income tax provision, deferred tax inventory, income tax payable roll forward and proof, deferred income tax documentation), international provision to return calculations, US GAAP analysis of international deferred tax items including valuation allowance analysis, monitor tax law change and prepare and review documentation including tax accounting memos to support analyses, work papers and be used in financial statement audits and communicate with financial statement auditors on inquiries.

  • Manage international aspects of US income tax compliance including oversight of FBAR process, supervision of staff assisting with compliance, detailed analysis and technical review of GILTI, BEAT, FDII, earnings and profits and tax pools, computation of the US foreign tax credit including interest and research and development allocation and apportionment, forms statements and disclosures, documentation of processes and technical positions, and assist with IRS audits of US international income tax compliance.

  • Manage, calculate, and analyze and review provision, compliance and operational implications of income tax planning and M&A activity including modeling concepts, preparing and/or reviewing US tax forms for entity classification elections and 338 elections.

  • Manage Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 withholding tax processes including analysis and project management of US tax forms for international subsidiaries, managing Form 1042 and associated filings, communicating with other departments to ensure proper withholding and reporting occurs.

  • Monitor US and International tax reform including BEPS Pilar 1 and Pilar 2, DAC 6 reporting and other international tax law changes that impact Equifax’s global business.

  • Identify and implement process improvements using technology to help the team work more efficiently and collaborate with other business groups. 

What Experience You Need:

  • 7-12 years in International Tax

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field

  • Masters of Tax or Accounting with a Tax Concentration or Law Degree

  • At least 2 years in public accounting

  • A combination of experience in tax provision, planning, and compliance
