Product Manager - Consumer

Equifax is looking for a Product Manager to drive product strategy and give direction to our future roadmap for the Consumer market. The role will see you working across a variety of sectors, heading up our B2B and B2C ambitions as we extend our Consumer proposition across the entire customer credit lifecycle i.e. origination, account management and debt management. 

You’ll help bring clarity and transparency to a regulated sector, and work closely with a range of sectors to help make better informed decisions when lending, taking into account factors like risk profile, affordability, indebtedness and vulnerability. 

The role will see you working closely with Data, Technology, Commercial and Marketing teams to deliver new products to the market and to understand how our current product set fits with the demands of a relatively new market.  This is a key area of the business with big ambitions for 2022/2023 and beyond.

What You'll Do

  • Steer the UK Consumer product roadmap, leading on prioritisation decisions, product strategy and design, working closely with internal teams, partners, customers and international teams.

  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales to achieve product-market fit for new ideas, as well as challenging the placement of existing products and listening to voice of customer feedback.

  • Create space for innovation and rapid prototyping to ensure that we stay ahead of the competition. 

  • Coach and develop the Consumer Credit community at Equifax on agile product development, working with technology peers on lean software development practices (like test and learn, MVPs etc).

  • Provide visionary leadership to ensure buy-in from development teams, stakeholders, peers and senior executives on our Open Banking strategy. 

  • Work closely with external and internal stakeholders including IT Development, Data and Analytics, and Programme Management teams to execute the Product roadmap, taking accountability for milestones and deliverables. 

  • Be the voice and champion for Consumer. Be an active member of the industry, attending events and conferences to share and gather insight. 

What Experience You Need

We are looking for a talented and driven product person to lead our highest growth product set, you’ll have:

  • Experience in Credit Risk Management and an appreciation of analytics and modelling

  • Experience working with software as a service, data and cloud products.

  • Strong passion for FinTech and financial services.

  • Experience delivering products to market in financial services or a data business.

  • Innovative, creative, and nimble with the ability to overcome obstacles to solve problems.

  • Superb communication skills with the ability to lead and influence those around you. 

  • Excellent collaboration skills, ability to share knowledge with peers and multi-functional teams.

  • Flexible and responsive with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority
