Job Summary 

Equifax is looking for a  Web Application Penetration tester who can identify, exploit, and communicate application and network layer risks including development of mitigation or remediation strategies This person must be willing to work from any 1 of our office locations  in Saint Louis, MO, Reston, VA or Alpharetta, GA.

 

 

What You’ll Do : 

  • Responsible for supporting a global program to identify, exploit, and communicate application and network layer risks including development of mitigation or remediation strategies.

  • Plan and execute Penetration Testing and Assessment exercises including leading or participating in Red/Blue team testing exercises.

  • Lead and manage one or more engagements and projects simultaneously.

  • Develop strong relationships within Security and with IT leaders in responsible business units in order to successfully execute security assessments and penetration testing.

  • Collaborate on integration efforts within Security and with IT partners.

  • Perform management and internal client reporting to ensure risks are captured and prioritized as necessary.

 

What experience you’ll need:

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related or equivalent job experience 

  • 6+ yrs of overall IT experience as System admin, Network admin, or developer

  • At least 4 yrs  years of experience in  information  security 

  • 1- 2 years of experience penetration testing web applications and API’s using 

  • 1- 2 years of experience using Burp Suite Pro or equivalent application (e.g. ZAP)

  • Ability to collaborate with development teams to perform pen testing and provide recommendations on remediations

  • Development background ( Python, Java)

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to explain technical concepts at different levels
