The Strategy Planning & Business Intelligence Consultant is responsible for the development of the 3 year UK Business Strategy working with the Director of Business Strategy, for sourcing and coordinating content for internal reporting into Corporate; including Monthly Business Reviews, board meetings, Executive Committee, Presidents reports, providing regular market intelligence to support the business in its decision making and supporting other corporate initiatives and requirements when required.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract

What you’ll do 

  • Coordinating the business strategy development within the UK Business with the Director of Business Strategy

  • Refreshing the 3-year Strategy Playbook, working with key stakeholders across the business

  • Performing regular research and analysis of our markets: client trends, regulatory developments and competitive dynamics; assessing target addressable market sizes, segments and growth forecasts and opportunity sizing; developing a point of view on strategic implications and any strategic response or change to our strategy which may be required

  • Issuing reports to the business on competitor quarterly and annual results

  • Coordinating monthly ‘President's Letter’ to International

  • Coordinating and preparing Monthly Business Review presentations with the Executive team

  • Preparing quarterly Presidents report to the UK board

  • Preparing the Exco agenda and content with the VP Strategy and Consulting

  • Managing the UK Commercial Excellence programme with the VP Strategy and Consulting, driving activity and coordinating with Iberia

  • Partnering & collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders including product line leaders, subject matter experts, Sales leaders and corporate & regional strategy counterparts

  • Providing market intelligence, including CAGR by sector to support the annual budget process

What experience you need  

  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal able to create internal and external awareness of the strategy and the vision of product lines, coupled with ability to roll up sleeves

  • Excellent relationship building skills and natural collaborator, connector and networker

  • Self-motivated, organised, disciplined, structured with the ability to work under pressure and manage priorities

  • Ability to work independently and to manage ambiguity

  • Knowledge of Consumer and Commercial Lending, ID&F. Credit Reference Agency market, and FCA regulated sectors.

  • Creative thinker that can bring new Insights and ideas into business challenges

  • Excellent understanding of business operations and procedures

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to take responsibility for own learning and continuous improvement

  • Gather information and create cohesive and practical solutions

  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with employees at all levels of the organisation to drive execution

  • Strong and in-depth understanding of organisational operations and dynamics

  •  Up to date knowledge of Equifax products and services together with the market and regulatory conditions in which the company operates
