Senior Director of Business Insights


Reporting directly to the Vice President, Mortgage Verification Services, the Senior Director of Business Insights, Mortgage Verification Services, will have responsibility for enabling Mortgage revenue growth for Verification Services by performing data analytics on client-specific strategies, creating customer presentations, and providing insight to industry-specific market trends.  The incumbent will also be actively involved in the development of new market initiatives and analyzing strategic business opportunities. Success in this role is dependent on the ability to identify Mortgage industry client and market needs, collaborate with enterprise sales channels and cross-functional COEs, and work to develop, design, and sell strong value-added solutions.  This role will focus on driving new revenue by targeting new product launches, increasing client wallet share, custom solutions development, industry trends, partner relationships, and joint ventures.

What you'll do:

  • Provide support to senior sales leaders and managers through delivering insightful metrics and analytics influencing the growth of Mortgage Verification Services revenue (~$1B in annual revenue, delivering +20% growth, excluding market, annually).

  • Create customer and internal key stakeholder presentations with creative visualizations and graphs to help articulate client use and opportunities.

  • Build senior level presentations for internal meetings and events articulating Mortgage Verification Services strategies and initiatives.

  • Consults with senior sales leaders and managers to understand business drivers then utilizes data driven analytics to provide them the needed visibility.

  • Provides valuable trends/insights by performing complex analysis utilizing multiple tools and databases (i.e. Tableau, Spotfire, etc). 

  • Supports the annual quota setting process across all Mortgage Verification Services revenue channels. 

  • Reporting on opportunities, closed won, and closed lost deals.

  • Maintaining insights into market trends and delivering insightful metrics into how the trends will or could impact business. 

  • Proactively understanding the competitive landscape through leverage “voice of customer” feedback and other external data sources.

  • Support adhoc sales needs for reporting or other items.


What experience you need :

  •  A minimum of 10+ years of analytical experience, developing insights and summarizing large datasets.

  • 2 + years experience using Tableau, Spotfire or other data analytics / visualization tool experience required

  • Travel – up to 15% of the time

What could set you apart:

  • Proven aptitude in creating and delivering effective executive-level presentations. 

  • Demonstrates confidence in manipulating large amounts of data to clearly communicate the value of the Verification solutions to Equifax’s Mortgage clients.   

  • Strong familiarity with the Mortgage industry is preferred.  

  • Proven strategic planning skills including the translation of strategic ideas into executable actions.

  • Experience and accountability for managing and influencing cross-functionally in sales, operations, data & analytics, marketing, product management and technology. 

  • Google suite knowledge, preferred.
